Mallardus Ridicula

Mallardus Ridicula

$ 140.00

The skull of Mallardus Ridicula displays extreme morphological exaggerations characteristic of highly anthropomorphized avian species. The cranium is markedly domed, with an enlarged neurocranium relative to body size, indicating hypertrophy of the encephalic cavity. The most striking feature is the hypertrophied maxillomandibular apparatus: the beak is elongated, laterally widened, and highly flexible—departing significantly from the rigid keratinous rhamphotheca typical of Anas platyrhynchos. Orbital cavities are large and forward-facing, suggesting binocular vision and advanced cognitive processing. The mandible appears decoupled from realistic avian jaw mechanics, allowing for exaggerated articulation and expressivity. Overall, the skull reflects a stylized convergence of avian and mammalian traits optimized for comedic expressiveness rather than biological function.
